You would rather map a problem properly than answer it quickly.
You take the received answer apart before you use it. Working from first principles takes longer, and it is the only method you trust, which is why you are hard to hurry. When you finally give an opinion it tends to be the one that survives the meeting. People bring you the questions that nobody else has been able to settle.
